For Schools · Academies · Trusts
Subject access requests, handled — without burying your office team.
When a SAR lands, the deadline is one month but the work — safeguarding records, other pupils in the same emails, staff correspondence — can swallow weeks. We do the triage, redaction and response pack. Your school reviews and sends.

- Fixed price before any work starts
- Free triage & scoping
Built for the Requests Schools Actually Get
Most school SARs come from parents — and most arrive mid‑complaint, mid‑exclusion, or mid‑grievance. That's exactly when they're hardest to handle in‑house.
Parent & Pupil Requests
Pupil files, CPOMS-style safeguarding records, and years of email — with other children's information woven through that must be considered line by line.
Staff Requests
SARs linked to grievances or capability processes, typically involving large volumes of internal correspondence between named colleagues.
MAT & Multi‑School Requests
Requests spanning several schools in a trust, where consistency of approach and a single response pack matter most.
We also support charities, SMEs and other UK organisations with DSARs — get in touch.
Our Core Services
Clear, consistent DSAR support tailored to your organisation.
Safeguarding‑Aware Redaction
Consistent redaction across pupil files, emails and exports — third‑party pupils and staff considered individually, not blanket‑redacted, in line with ICO expectations.
Triage & Scoping — Free
Tell us what's landed and we'll map the scope, flag the difficult material, and give you a plan with a fixed quote — within one working day, no obligation.
Response Pack & Drafting
A complete, organised response pack with covering letter and disclosure log — ready for your DPO or head to review, approve and send.

What is a SAR / DSAR?
A subject access request is a request from an individual — for schools, usually a parent on behalf of their child, or a staff member — for a copy of the personal data you hold about them, made under UK GDPR. Schools normally have one calendar month to respond.
Can you handle safeguarding records?
Yes — safeguarding-heavy requests are our core work. We prepare the material with each third party considered individually, flag anything that needs a judgement call, and leave final disclosure decisions with your DSL, DPO or head, which is where they belong.
How quickly can you turn a request around?
It depends on volume and complexity, but we plan every job around your statutory deadline and confirm a delivery date when we quote. Urgent requests can often be prioritised.
How do you keep our data secure?
Files are transferred and stored securely, access is restricted to those working on your request, and all material is deleted after completion in line with our retention policy. We're happy to sign an NDA or data processing agreement.
Do you provide legal advice?
No. VeriRequest provides practical, operational SAR support — redaction, triage, and drafting. Final decisions on disclosure and any legal questions remain with your school and its advisers or DPO.
How is pricing calculated?
We review the scope of your request — the volume of material, its complexity, and the deadline — and give you a single fixed price before any work begins. There is no hourly billing.
What do you need from us to get started?
A short description of the request and, ideally, an indication of the volume of material involved. We'll confirm scope and arrange secure file transfer from there.
